February is known as the month of love: red roses, sappy cards, heart-shaped boxes of chocolate. We can usually find this love or appreciation for all those around us. But what about giving a little credit to yourself? You can’t pour from an empty cup; we need to do a little self-care each day.

I know this may be a little difficult, but give yourself a break. You are only human. Give yourself the forgiveness and acceptance that you allow others. You deserve it!

So, let’s challenge ourselves to find some self-love EACH day this month! Join me in a 28 Day Self-Love Challenge!

How to participate: each day this month, remind yourself that you ARE good enough exactly as you are in that moment. Tell yourself that you deserve the good things which come to you, not good things are just part of the balance and they happen to everyone. Know that you are worthy of love and that you ARE loved because you are unique, wonderful and fantastic! Then give yourself a little reward for being so awesome!

Below is a list of affirmations for each day and a list of rewards or journal prompts. Mix and match as you wish. Write each day’s choice of affirmation on a sticky note and place it on your mirror or your phone’s wallpaper. You can also write them on a calendar or in a journal.


  • All I need is within me right now.             

  • I am getting better and better every day.

  • I am an unstoppable force of nature.      

  • I am living with abundance.

  • Today is a phenomenal day.

  • I stand up for what I believe in.

  • I believe in my goals and dreams.

  • I believe in myself.

  • I will only compare myself to myself.

  • I am in charge of my life right now.

  • I do deserve to be loved.

  • I am proud of who I am in this moment.

  • I matter.

  • I am enough.

  • I have people who love and respect me.

  • I am capable of so much.

  • It is enough to do my best.

  • I believe in abilities.

  • All of my problems/ issues have solutions.

  • I am an amazing person.

  • I use obstacles to learn and grow.

  • I am grateful for everything in my life.

  • I will rise above the thoughts that are trying to weigh me down.

  • I am not defined by my past; I am driven to my future.

  • I am intelligent and focused.

  • I am constantly evolving and growing into a better person.

  • My soul radiates from inside and warms the souls of others.

  • I finish what matters and let go of what does not.

  • I feed my spirit. I work with my body. I focus my mind. I know my breath. This is my time.

Rewards & Journal Prompts:

  • Enjoy a piece of candy.

  • Attend a yoga class for affirmations.

  • Set up this calendar.

  • Journal for 10-15 Minutes.

  • Do something that makes you smile.

  • Take a walk outside.

  • List 2-3 goals you want to achieve.

  • Sleep in, even if it’s just 30 minutes.

  • Write a happy note to yourself or someone else.

  • Write 1-3 positive things about yourself.

  • Eat your favorite food or dessert.

  • Watch your favorite movie.

  • Try something new.

  • Spend a few hours, or even a whole day, unplugged.

  • Look up a place you have always wanted to visit.

  • Smile at everyone you see today.

  • Wear something from your closet that is your favorite.

  • Send a nice email or text to someone who you haven’t talked to in a while.

  • Listen to your favorite song and sing out loud.

  • Sit in the grass or in the sand and feel the sun on your face.

  • Take a photo of something that makes you smile.

  • Read an interesting article or start a new book.

  • Draw or doodle for no reason.

  • Drink a cup of coffee, tea, smoothie or whatever you choose and savor the flavors.

  • Take a bubble bath.

  • Meditate for 5-10 minutes.

  • Snuggle with your furbaby.

  • Reflect back on all the goodness you have accomplished this month!

Remember the goal is help you feel a bit better about yourself each day.

This is for you, your indulgence, to help you to know that you are worth time to yourself,

that you are worthy of love and so much more!

*You may ask, what is the difference between this and being narcissistic. It’s normal to be concerned that your self-love may be, or even lead to, being self-absorbed. But there is a fine line between the two. Narcissists often need constant validation and adoration from others and often voice this comparison. Healthy self-esteem and appreciation are based on not only believing that we have positive qualities, but that others also have these qualities as well.
